Respiratory Therapist Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. You will work the night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Weekend and call coverage as required by the facility.

Qualifications:

• Current RRT licensure with Missouri Board for Respiratory Care
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA (required)
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult critical care
• Experience in high-volume, busy ED with trauma exposure
• Experience with blood gas draw, GEM processing, and blood gas interpretation preferred

Role Overview:

You will provide respiratory care across multiple hospital departments, including SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and Trauma units. Your responsibilities include managing a range of equipment and patient needs in a busy critical care environment.

Equipment and Systems:

• Ventilators: Avea, LTV transport
• Airway support: V60 BiPAP with Bellavista, Vapotherm, Airvo for high-flow oxygen
• EMR: EPIC

You are a confident, organized therapist with strong time management skills. You thrive in fast-paced settings and can handle float assignments as needed. Float requirements apply as directed by the facility.

Compensation and Details:

Weekly pay is $1,971. Assignment begins August 3, 2026. Black scrubs (Mercy standard) are required.
