Respiratory Therapist Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist on the night shift at Mercy Hospital St Louis, a 36-week guaranteed hours position running 3x12 schedule with weekend hours as needed. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, with weekly pay of $1,971.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physicians' orders
• Determine effectiveness of therapy and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Provide ventilator support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Maintain life support equipment in intensive care units and other designated areas
• Implement medical plan of care and clinical interventions as needed for patient care
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to be flexible and adaptable

Required qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care
• Current Missouri state license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) designation from the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CRT

Preferred qualifications:

• RRT-ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) from the NBRC
• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior Adult Intensive Care and Emergency Department experience
