ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours must be indicated on submission form
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Block schedule cannot be accommodated
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
• RTO must be made up on the back end and will not be approved in the first week of assignment
• Only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
• Patient ratio of 4:1 routinely; surge and other circumstances will alter ratios
• 68-bed Emergency Department unit
• EMR system: EPIC
• High-volume, busy urban trauma center seeing 200+ patients per day
• Experience with high acuity patients, trauma, and pediatrics preferred
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Must have 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; must be indicated on resume
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC, and NIHSS (may be submitted without but must obtain prior to start)
• Current RN license required; must meet criteria for licensure in Missouri or be currently licensed in Missouri
