Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hours per week with 36 guaranteed hours
• Holidays required as scheduled with every other weekend required
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Provide post-operative recovery care and complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring for cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 4-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) located on 4 North
• Support patient care and recovery in an 8-bed stepdown unit (CSU) focused on cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Exhibit high levels of professional competency in critical care nursing
• Utilize Meditech EMR system
• Wear solid navy scrubs per dress code requirements
• Parking available on site
• 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
• Associate degree in nursing required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA NIH, Red Cross
• Preferred certification: AHA PALS if working in pediatric unit
• Alabama registered nurse license or compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted)
• NURSYS verification required
