Pediatrics RN Job in Charlotte, NC

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Rapid Response is seeking a Registered Nurse for their pediatrics unit. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care to pediatric patients ages 0-17 with medical-surgical and hematology/oncology diagnoses. Your responsibilities include administering and monitoring chemotherapy treatments, managing ports and central/implanted lines, performing IV starts and lab draws, and applying appropriate isolation precautions. You will work with unit systems including PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR documentation.

Shift and Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 3 shifts per week (36 hours offered)
• Self-scheduling available
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement

Unit Details

Patient ratio is 1:5-6. You will have float responsibility to PICU and NICU as needed. Unit orientation includes 24 hours of training plus hospital orientation classes during week one.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Chemotherapy experience and certification preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience

Compensation and Details

Weekly pay is $1,715. Scrubs are not provided—you will need to wear fun kid-themed tops with navy pants. This assignment offers the flexibility of self-scheduling within the 3x12 day framework.
