Pediatrics RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as an RN in a combined Pediatrics and Oncology unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. The unit has 19 total beds: 13 pediatric beds and 6 oncology beds. You will be part of a 22-person staff team across both specialties.

Shift and Scheduling

• Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• 6 weekend shifts required (2 are Saturdays)
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 21, 2026

Daily Responsibilities

• Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5
• Night shift includes 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 RT, and 1 PCT
• The unit maintains at least 1 oncology nurse on duty each day
• Work with Alaris pumps and Cerner EMR system
• Potential for floating to PICU and NICU

Requirements and Qualifications

• Pediatric hospital experience required
• Pediatric oncology experience preferred
• Current certifications: PALS, BLS, and APHON (for oncology)
• Dress code: All navy blue or white scrub top
