About this role
AU Medical Center, Inc. is hiring a registered nurse for a float position in our inpatient setting. This is a day shift role based in Augusta, Georgia, running for 91 days starting August 24, 2026. You will earn $2,346 per week.
Schedule and Expectations
- Day shift with your choice of (4) 10-hour shifts or (5) 8-hour mid shifts beginning at 10:45 AM
- On-call requirements as needed
- Minimum every-other-weekend schedule
- Minimum 2 major and 2 minor holiday commitments
Your Role
You will perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice. You will deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to population-specific needs including age, gender, and disease. Partner with patients and their families through appropriate communication methods, including bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds. You will coordinate safe, quality patient care delivery and documentation within a professional care delivery model.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities. Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required mandatory education.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
- BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or Instructor level)
- Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
- Intraoperative experience or OR circulating experience required
- Less than 1 year of experience accepted upon completion of accredited nursing school with requisite clinical hours
