RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Weekend schedule to be determined
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion required
• Chemotherapy Certification (ONS) required
• Oncology Certified RN (OCN) required
• Peripheral IV insertion experience required
• Port/Fistula/Catheter experience required
• IV Certification highly preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, Chemo Certification, OCN, ACLS
• New York state nursing license required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• De-escalation training required prior to start
• Skills checklist current within one year required
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color, no designs or cartoons, no hoodies
• Provide infusion services including IV antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, blood transfusions, IVIG, hydration therapy, iron infusions, and specialty medications
• Perform and maintain central venous access devices and PICC line placement
• Administer specialty medications for conditions including Crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and allergic asthma
• Conduct therapeutic phlebotomies and provide patient teaching for self-administration of medications
