Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers with 2-3 years of experience will be considered
• Epic or Cerner experience required for first-time travelers
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Approximately 25 cases per day across 6 operating rooms
• Treat patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include general, gynecology, orthopedics (heavy), cystoscopy, ophthalmology, ENT, podiatry, and small amounts of vascular, neuro, and thoracic cases
• Strong orthopedic experience is required - must be able to circulate all orthopedic cases including arthroscopies and total joints (this is a deal breaker requirement)
• Must have heavy ortho skills rated 3+4 on checklist
• Orthopedic skills required include: ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, closed reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, open reduction of fractures, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement
• Call required on both weekdays and weekends
• Overnight call shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM once per week
• 24-hour call every 4 weeks on weekends
• Holiday rotation required
• No floating required
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Massachusetts license must be in hand prior to submission
