OR Registered Nurse Job in Plymouth, NH

Speare Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a temporary assignment in Plymouth, NH. You will work 5x8 day shifts for 91 days, starting December 14, 2026, at a weekly rate of $2,822.40.

Role Overview

You will support surgical services across 2 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy suite, handling 40–50 cases per week. Case volume varies by service line: 1–4 standard cases or 5–12 endoscopy cases daily. You will perform and assist with orthopedic, ophthalmology, podiatry, obstetrics/gynecology, general surgery, and endoscopy procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for surgical cases and procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency in orthopedic, general, endoscopy, sports medicine, gynecology, and cesarean section cases
• Maintain total joints experience and current OR skills competency
• Participate in on-call schedule: 1 weekend per month and 3–4 nights per week
• Be willing to work and take call during Christmas and New Year's holidays

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current operating room experience
• Circulating experience required
• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Total joints experience required
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications
• New Hampshire nursing license
• Completed operating room skills checklist
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment
• Permanent address on file; must reside 50+ miles from facility

What to Know

This is a small, critical access facility. Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred. Please plan accordingly and limit time-off requests during your assignment. Weekend call is required, and you must be flexible with holiday coverage.
