About this role

Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their NICU. You will care for neonatal patients from 22 weeks gestation and greater, providing specialized nursing in a 1:2 patient ratio across day, night, and weekend shifts.

Schedule and Pay

  • 4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with no call, or 3x12-hour night shifts with bi-weekly call requirement
  • Every-other-weekend coverage required
  • $2,381 weekly pay
  • 91-day assignment beginning September 21, 2026

Experience and Credentials Required

  • Minimum 2 years NICU II and NICU III experience
  • Travel nursing experience (no first-time travelers)
  • Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR experience
  • Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
  • Active South Carolina nursing license

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage complex neonatal cases including abdominal wall defects, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), drug exposure and withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF), duodenal atresia, diaphragmatic hernia, urethral stenosis, myelomeningocele, and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).

Special procedures include full body cooling, chest tube management, surgical repair of anomalies (excluding cardiac), tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery. You will operate specialized equipment including Arctic Sun, Blanketrol, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris pumps, Philips Central monitoring, B Braun and Infinity feeding pumps, Atom and GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, radiant warmers, external shunts, and ostomy equipment.

Systems and Environment

  • Documentation: EPIC
  • Unit medication system: Pyxis/Omnicell
  • Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed
