ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 52-bed emergency department with an average patient ratio of 3:1, low acuity 5:1, and pediatrics utilizing team nursing
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
• Perform typical ED procedures including IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
• Work with Alaris equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Must be able to maintain a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
• Scan patients and medications every time as per unit policy
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NIH
• Kansas nursing license required
• Experience in traveling or experience at large facility required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Experience in a 52-bed ER or larger preferred
