Cath Lab Technologist Job in El Paso, TX

Join Las Palmas Medical Center El Paso as a Cath Lab Technologist on a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days per week, in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization lab setting.

About the Role

You'll support a 3-room cardiac cath lab featuring 2 electrophysiology-compatible rooms. Day shift staffing includes 2 RNs and 2 cardiovascular technicians per case, unless anesthesia or non-invasive procedures are underway. You'll assist with a wide range of procedures, including cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), electrophysiology studies for atrial fibrillation, Watchman device placement, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mechanical thrombectomy (INARI), device implantation (pacemakers, ICDs), and Impella support systems.

Requirements

You must have prior cath lab experience and current certifications in ACLS and BLS. RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or cardiovascular nurse certification is preferred. You'll use the Meditech EMR system during your shift.

Schedule & On-Call

On-call duties are distributed evenly among staff RNs and cardiovascular technicians. Weekend on-call coverage is required for emergent cases.

Compensation & Duration

You'll earn $2,571 per week. The assignment runs 91 days, with a start date of August 31, 2026.
