Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech Radiology Cardiology

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Float required as needed to any campus location
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred certifications: RCIS, RCES
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Required skills and experience include: arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, insertion and programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage procedures, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies
• Preferred skills and experience include: cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies
• Additional skills include: 3D imaging, fluoroscopy, electrophysiology evaluation, equipment setup, sterile technique, scrub procedures, circulate procedures, central venous access, vascular closure systems, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Assist with diagnostic, interventional, and acute procedures while maintaining strict asepsis and ensuring patient safety
• Prepare specialty EP equipment to support accurate and reliable diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Complete control room duties utilizing physiologic monitoring, EP-specific monitoring and mapping systems, angiographic and fluoroscopic imaging, and digital analysis
• Support EP-specific functions including digital archiving of studies and supply distribution
• Provide care in the circulating role during elective and emergency procedures
• Provide continuous care in the Catheterization Lab Holding area and cross-train in multiple departments
• Work within a multidisciplinary setting alongside IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
