Med Surg RN Job in Newport, OR

You will provide direct nursing care to acutely ill adults requiring medical and surgical treatment at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Oregon. Your role spans both emergent and elective surgical procedures, where you'll collaborate closely with nurse assistants and the broader care team to deliver professional, compassionate nursing care.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts per week
• Duration: 91 days
• Start Date: September 2, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,290

Your Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor acutely ill adult patients pre- and post-operatively
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Work alongside nurse assistants to maintain safe, clean, and therapeutic environments
• Document patient care accurately and communicate status changes to the care team

Required Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing (supported by the facility)
• Comprehensive submission including skills list, references, and copies of current licensure and certifications
