Med Surg RN Job in Newport, OR

You will provide direct nursing care for acutely ill adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, OR. Your role includes caring for patients requiring both emergent and elective surgery, working alongside registered nurses and nurse assistants to deliver high standards of care.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 nights per week
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 1, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,290

Your Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor acutely ill adult patients throughout your shift
• Provide post-operative and peri-operative nursing care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient documentation
• Support the surgical and medical unit operations with attention to protocol and safety standards

Requirements

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported by the facility
