CT Technologist Job in Redding, CA

You'll work as a CT Technologist at Mercy Medical Center Redding on a 4x10 day shift schedule, working 10-hour shifts Friday through Sunday plus one additional day each week. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 21, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,618.

Role and Environment

You'll perform CT imaging across multiple care settings including the operating room, emergency room, inpatient units, and outpatient areas. You'll operate Philips iPatient 64 and Big Bore 16 CT scanners, and you may work with C-arms in the OR. The radiology department operates with an in-house radiologist until 6:00 PM, then on-call coverage after hours. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to work independently.

Requirements and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required; first-time travelers will be considered
• Required licensure: Rad Tech I or Rad Tech II with CT experience
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ARRT, and Fluoroscopy certification through the state of California
• Level II Trauma experience preferred but not required

Scheduling and Orientation

Your primary schedule consists of 10-hour day shifts, though variable 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts may be available based on department needs. Department orientation includes 1–2 shifts. Call requirements will vary and will be discussed during your interview. Please note that the hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract, either a full shift or any part of a shift.

Workplace Details

You'll use the Cerner EMR system. Wear teal scrubs in the radiology department; the OR will provide scrubs when you work there. Night shifts can present additional challenges due to fewer available resources.
