CVOR RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking an RN for a 13-week contract position in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). You will work 8-hour day shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a 5-day rotating schedule, including weekends, with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Position Details

• 36 guaranteed hours per week at $2,337 weekly
• 13-week assignment beginning October 7, 2026
• 3–4 patient assignments per shift with admission hold responsibilities
• Floating within the unit as required by unit policy

Requirements

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital or specialty nursing experience
• Heart transplant experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Meditech documentation system experience
• Heart surgery experience (adult and pediatric)
• Intra-Aortic Balloon pump (IABP) experience
• Adult heart transplant background
• Cell Saver technology experience
• Peripheral vascular procedure familiarity

Unit Procedures

You will support procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, surgical valve replacements, adult and pediatric heart transplants, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), thoracic and lung procedures, and ventricular assist device placements.
