OR RN Job in Tucson, AZ

BUMC South Tucson is seeking a registered nurse for the operating room. This is a travel position with an 89-day assignment beginning October 12, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4x10 shift: 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday on rotating days
• Rotating on-call requirement: weekday overnight shifts (11:45 PM to 6:45 AM) and weekend shifts (5:15 PM to 6:45 AM)
• 3 to 4 call shifts per 4-week cycle, including one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
• Weekly pay: $2,718

Role Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to professional standards
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal findings to appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans, including discharge planning
• Delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR RN
• Previous travel healthcare experience
• Strong experience in general, gynecological, orthopedic, podiatric, urologic, and robotic surgery
• Level III Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• May lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
