Job Details:

• 3x12 night shift schedule
• No on-call requirement
• Every other weekend required with holiday coverage expected
• Float between Adult and NICU units
• Treat patients across multiple age groups including neonates, infants, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform airway management including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal airway placement, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal suctioning, and tracheostomy suctioning
• Administer aerosolized medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Pulmicort, Xopenex, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Perforomist, Isuprel, and Lidocaine
• Set up and manage aerosol delivery via mask, trach collar, medihaler, metered dose inhaler, and nebulizer
• Manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, and CPAP
• Troubleshoot high pressure alarms and wean patients from mechanical ventilation
• Perform pulmonary hygiene and collect sputum specimens
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and collect umbilical blood gases
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Operate Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U ventilators
• Preferred skills include bronchoscopy, inhaled Flolan, Nitric Oxide (INo), Ketamine, Mucomyst, Bicarbonate, and Theophylline administration
• Use Cerner for charting (experience required)
• Scrub color: ceil blue (scrubs not provided)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care required; NICU experience preferred
• Minimum 1 prior travel assignment completed required
• ED experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, CRT, RRT, MD State License
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
