Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• No on-call required
• No float requirement
• Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
• No RTO approved on hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and similar holidays
• Every other winter and summer holiday are required with no RTO approved on those days
• 3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required; RRT preferred
• CRT candidates with 5 years of experience may be considered
• Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience required
• Airway management experience including extubation, intubation assistance, suctioning, and tracheostomy care required
• Must be comfortable caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomies
• Experience with bronchoscopy support and sputum specimen collection required
• Ventilator management experience including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, pressure-alarm troubleshooting, and weaning from mechanical ventilation required
• Chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gas collection, and ABG interpretation required
• Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, mechanical ventilators, high-flow oxygen and other oxygen-delivery systems, and nebulizer and aerosol medication-delivery systems required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Charcoal/Dark Grey
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT
• Active Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required
