RN - Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Float required
• Weekend coverage every other weekend
• Night shift patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse
• 1 year of experience required
• Unit accepts first time travelers
• LTAC experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Documentation system: Cerner (required)
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Communication system: SBAR
• Treat patients with diagnoses including heart failure, Afib, Afib with RVR, stroke, and post PCI/cardiac cath
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote), use of rapid response/code teams, pacemaker management (temporary/permanent), post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, TR band, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, heparin protocols, managing cardiac drips without titration, CVA, intracranial bleeds, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and Cerner
