Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Avon, IN

You will work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at IU Health West Hospital in Avon, Indiana. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 17, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 4x10 hour days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Block schedule availability to be discussed

Compensation and Benefits

• Weekly pay: $2,822.40

Your Role

You will perform nuclear medicine imaging and diagnostic procedures on adult and geriatric patients. Your responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, maintaining and storing radioactive materials safely, drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and performing a range of specialized scans and procedures.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Current Indiana nuclear medicine license
• BLS certification
• CNMT or NMTCB certification
• ARRT(N) certification
• Minimum 2 years nuclear medicine experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required

Technical Competencies

You must be proficient in: 3 Phase imaging, abdominal studies, adenosine infusion, bone imaging, brain imaging, captopril studies, cerebral blood flow, DTPA aerosol, exercise and rest procedures, gastric emptying, HIDA scans, I-123 uptake scans, isolation precautions and PPE, liver imaging, MUGA scans, nuclear cardiology, perfusion studies, persantine infusion, pharmacological stress testing, renal imaging, sestamibi parathyroid scans, Siemens equipment operation, Spectrum DSpect software, ventilation/perfusion imaging, and whole body imaging.
