About this role

IU Health Bloomington Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 5x8 day shifts in a 3-room nuclear medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures for 13–15 patients daily with a patient ratio of 3 per day shift
  • Execute cardiac studies, bone scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial imaging
  • Initiate IV access and operate Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
  • Maintain Cerner documentation (preferred)
  • Participate in on-call coverage on weeknights and weekends under block scheduling
  • Float within IU Health Bloomington Hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification
  • ARRT N or NMTCB certification
  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification
  • Minimum 2 years nuclear medicine experience
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Comfort with adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
  • Familiarity with Siemens equipment preferred
  • Experience with brain scans, renal flow studies, and SPECT imaging is preferred
