ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical ICU
• Patient ratios vary based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assigned 1:3-4
• Day and night shifts staffed with 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Every third weekend required, no on-call responsibilities
• Telemetry experience required; PCU or greater preferred
• Prior ICU experience and experience with critical drips and ventilators preferred
• Must be organized but easily adaptable
• Equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair Hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
• EMR system: Sunrise
• Typical procedures include pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
• Floating to Progressive Care unit may be required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have NH license in hand prior to submission
