ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work in a high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 24-hour orientation period
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Epic experience required
• Provide care for ICU patients including COVID care and pronation therapy
• Perform vasopressor titrations and manage CRRT dialysis equipment
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD required
• Float requirement may apply; unit overflows SICU at times
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications (not required): CPI, NIHSS, CCRN
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, suctioning (ETT, NT), titration of vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
• Preferred skills include: accessing/managing ports, CVA/acute stroke management, FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac drips, and intraaortic balloon pump experience
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Compact or Louisiana license required
