ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available
• Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Nurse to patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients in the ICU
• Dress code: Teal or Caribbean Blue
• Must have experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, post-op cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT
• Care for patients with DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, Ventilators, and other complex conditions in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU
• Provide routine and complex nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers and identify issues and resources
• One year of experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• RN license in state of employment or compact license required
