Occupational Therapist Job in Anchorage, AK

Alaska Regional Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 26-week travel assignment in Anchorage. You will work in an inpatient acute care setting on the 5th floor of the main hospital building, providing direct patient care and rehabilitation services.

Schedule & Hours

• 4 days per week on 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Rotating schedule including weekends
• 2–3 weekend days per month (Saturdays and Sundays)
• No on-call requirements

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage a daily patient caseload of 8–10 patients
• Work independently in acute care patient assessment and treatment planning
• Collaborate with a rehabilitation services team of 60 therapy providers, including PTs, OTs, SLPs, PTAs, and COTAs
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Prior acute care experience is required; candidates without this background will not be considered

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist certification
• Acute care experience
• Alaska state fingerprint clearance and state background clearance (you must be cleared or in provisional status at start date)
• Strong independent work style and personality fit

This is a backfill position supporting the hospital's inpatient rehabilitation program. You will work directly with patients and interdisciplinary team members in a fast-paced acute care environment. Candidates must demonstrate independent clinical judgment and strong communication skills within the therapy team.
