Job Details:

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Call requirement of 40-60 hours per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required - must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• May float to general OR and possibly to Riley Children's Hospital as needed
• Covers general OR cases in addition to transplant procedures
• Peds experience preferred but not required for floating to Riley for pediatric transplant cases
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Liver transplant experience is a hard stop requirement - must be able to scrub liver recipient transplants independently
• Must have strong transplant experience within the last 2 years with actual procedure experience
• Minimum 2 years of transplant experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily average surgical case volume: 35 cases
• 23 operating rooms
• Special equipment: Da Vinci XI Surgical System; preferred experience with Bronchoscopes, EGD Scopes, EUS, and Flex Sigmoidoscopes
• Required skillset includes: Large Open Belly Cases, General, Urology, Thoracic, Gynecology, Scrubbing, Aseptic Technique, Plastics, Whipple, Liver Resection, and Free Flap
• High acuity patient population including complex cancer-related care
• Academic health center and teaching hospital environment
