PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Support patients for all major surgical services including surgical and procedural populations of all ages
• Provide pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care for both pediatric and adult populations
• Work across a department supporting a total of 34 operating rooms on 2 floors
• 1st floor includes 6 ORs, 2 cysto suites, a shared Pediatric GI/Lithotripsy room, and prep/recovery for CT/MRI with high volume of pediatric patients
• 2nd floor includes 28 ORs servicing Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and pulmonary lab cases
• Must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed
• Perform and assist with special procedures including regional anesthesia and ECT
• Utilize special equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Accuvein
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2
• 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract
• PACU or Pre/Post Op experience preferred; Critical Care Post Op experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Epic experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS
• AHA certifications required
• Compact or LA license required
