Occupational Therapist

Job Details:

• 13 or 26 week assignment with local candidates permitted
• Day shift schedule with no night shift coverage required
• Work across the entire facility including a 28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and acute care hospital
• Patient ratios of 4 patients per day on IRF unit and 8-12 patients per day in acute care
• Perform evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning
• Conduct team conferences and family training sessions
• Provide adaptive devices and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Utilize two therapy gyms and ADL apartment for patient care
• Document using Meditech EMR system
• Work a minimum of 1 weekend shift per month with preference for increased weekend flexibility
• Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
• Scrub color for surgical staff is Ciel Blue
• Active OT license and active BLS certification required
• Hospital and IRF experience highly preferred
• Stroke and neuro experience preferred
• Must demonstrate weekend flexibility, willingness to work on IRF unit, and strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
