Occupational Therapist Job in Miami, FL

You will provide occupational therapy services in a 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami. This is a day shift position working 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no night shift or on-call requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting patient evaluations and developing treatment plans
• Implementing therapeutic activities and exercises focused on activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional task training
• Providing patient, family, and caregiver education and training
• Utilizing lift equipment, adaptive devices, exercise equipment, and the outdoor training patio
• Documenting all patient care in the Meditech system

You will maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with a total inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) caseload of 4 patients per day. You are expected to be flexible, adaptable, and willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Therapy (Occupational Therapy)
• Current Florida OT license
• CPR/BLS certification
• Previous occupational therapy experience

Dress code is gray or black scrubs. This assignment runs for 91 days, beginning October 19, 2026. Weekly compensation is $2,163.
