NICU Registered Nurse Job in Reno, Nevada

Renown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 24, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a Level 3 NICU setting. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation using established nursing process standards. You will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and maintain accountability for individualized patient outcomes throughout each episode of care.

Schedule and Compensation

This position offers 3x12-hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week at $2,496.60 weekly. Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. You will be required to pick up one additional shift during each schedule period. The facility reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty, up to 48 hours for low census per 13-week contract period.

Requirements

• Current Nevada Registered Nurse license (must be obtained and maintained prior to hire)
• Minimum 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Ventilator training required
