NICU Registered Nurse Job in Reno, Nevada

Renown Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You'll work 3x12 day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week, providing direct care to critically ill newborns and their families.

About the Role

You'll deliver comprehensive nursing services including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Your responsibilities include coordinating care with interdisciplinary team members, monitoring complex medical equipment, and ensuring each infant receives specialized attention. You may be required to float to other areas of the organization up to your competency level and to pick up one additional shift during the contract period.

Schedule & Duration

This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 24, 2026. Day shifts may vary based on departmental needs and can include weekends and holidays. Call requirements will be discussed during your interview. The facility reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty for low census with 48 hours' notice per the 13-week contract.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the State of Nevada (required before hire)
• Minimum 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher
• Ventilator training required
• Current BLS certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,496.60.
