About this role

Banner Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day duration, starting July 20, 2026. You will earn $2,446.20 per week.

In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. You will review patient history and physical information with patients and families, ensuring timely completion. You will also review diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating and implementing individualized plans of care, including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs
  • Delegating appropriately and providing nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
  • Evaluating patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
  • Documenting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
  • Participating in unit or facility shared leadership and contributing to education and orientation of facility personnel, patients, and families
  • Actively participating in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes

You may be required to float to sister sites depending on census and staffing needs. A varied work schedule is expected.

Requirements: Current, valid RN license in Arizona. Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience in acute care within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. BLS certification required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification preferred.

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. You will work with standard precautions due to the threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
