ED RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You will work as an RN in the Emergency Department at BUMC Tucson, floating between two campuses: the Tucson Campus (Level I Trauma Center) and the South Campus (Level III facility). This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day duration, starting July 20, 2026.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ED RN experience
• Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Current certifications: PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and BLS
• Experience in a 500+ bed hospital preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical orders
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed health care team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support education and orientation of staff, patients, and families

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Use of standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Compensation: $2,446.20 per week.
