ED Registered Nurse Job in Castro Valley, CA

Sutter Health Eden Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 24, 2026, working 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,555.19 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care across all acute emergencies in a Level II Trauma and Stroke Center. Your responsibilities include nursing care for patients across all age groups—from neonates and infants through geriatrics—with a patient ratio of 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California RN license
• Minimum 3 years of experience for new graduate RNs; minimum 2 years for seasoned RNs
• Demonstrated travel healthcare experience
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications
• TNCC certification required within 90 days of start date
• Proficiency with Epic charting system

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma Level II experience
• Community hospital experience

Support and Resources

You will work in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services. Lift equipment is available on the unit to support patient safety and staff wellness.

Assignment Terms

This contract allows a maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off. Only 1 holiday per contract may be requested.
