CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Sacramento, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Sutter Health Medical Center Sacramento 2801 L. This is a 91-day travel assignment on a 4x8 day shift schedule, starting November 9, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,594.

Role Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of open heart surgery experience required
• Pediatric cardiovascular and vascular hybrid experience preferred
• Valid California RN license and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC) certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system

On-Call Expectations

On-call is required with an average of 3 days per week and 1 to 2 weekends per month. Weekend call runs from Friday at 3:00 PM through Monday at 6:30 AM. Call team shift assignments vary by specialty:

• CV1: 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• CV2: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Pediatrics: 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
• Hybrid: 3:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Weekend call teams cover cardiovascular and hybrid cases. Block scheduling may be approved by your manager and should be discussed during your interview.

Patient Population and Support

You will care for patients across the age spectrum—neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. You will work alongside respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and unit secretaries to provide comprehensive patient care.
