Cath Lab Technologist Job in Riverview, FL

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist at St. Josephs Hospital – South in Riverview, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 24, 2026.

Schedule and Environment

• Day shift: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, four 10-hour days per week
• Weekly pay: $2,462.40
• On-call rotation: one week on call, followed by two weeks off (call team of 2 RNs and 2 Techs)
• Hybrid lab performing cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology (IR) cases; no neuro or structural heart cases
• Daily patient caseload: approximately 25 patients per tech

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience
• Competency in scrub, monitor, and circulate roles
• Cardiac catheterization procedures: balloon angioplasty, PCI, stents, thrombectomy, coil embolization, filter placement, pacemaker and defibrillator placement, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization
• Interventional radiology procedures: stents, angioplasty, thoracentesis, peripherals, upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access
• EKG experience: pacemaker assessment, rhythm interpretation, sinus node rhythms, Holter monitoring
• Electrophysiology experience: baseline measurements, AICD insertion and programming, pacemaker insertion
• STEMI call and IR covered by the same team

Equipment and Preferred Experience

• Preferred equipment experience: Siemens Artis Q, Penumbra, Angiojet, Phillips Xper, Volcano/IVUS
• Preferred IR procedures: ablation
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Required Credentials

• Florida state license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• ARRT (R) certification
• CCI RCES or RCIS certification
• CET certification
• Fluoroscopy permit
• ARRT Advanced Certification
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
