PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Float to MedSurg units as needed
• Required work settings include MS/Tele, Tele, and PCU/Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and manage Heparin protocols
• Must be able to manage cardiac drips - no titration required
• Must work at least one holiday: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Alabama RN License
• Required skills include telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, blood product administration, central line care and management, peripheral line care and management, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Charting system experience required
