Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in Waterbury, CT

Waterbury Hospital is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Waterbury, Connecticut. You will work a 5x8 day shift schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with call requirements every third week (Monday through Friday 5:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and full 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays).

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Current ARRT R, ARRT VI, and BLS certifications
• Connecticut state license (license pending submissions accepted)
• First-time travelers must have extensive Interventional Radiology tech experience

Your Role:

You will perform a wide range of interventional procedures including angioplasty, aortography, catheter and drain exchange, central venous access, chest tube placement, cholecystostomy, embolization, fluoroscopy, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement and removal, nephrostomy, paracentesis, renal angiography, stent placement, thoracentesis, TIPS, and ureteral stent placement. You will operate and maintain specialized Siemens radiology equipment, maintain sterile field and sterile technique throughout procedures, and utilize the PACS system (Merge) for imaging documentation.

Additional responsibilities include applying isolation precautions and appropriate PPE, participating in rapid response and code team activities, and providing care to adult and geriatric patient populations. You will work within Cerner and Merge PACS documentation systems.

Compensation: $3,335 weekly. Assignment begins August 17, 2026.
