ICU RN Job in Cleveland, OH

You will provide direct critical care nursing in a specialized 10-bed Heart Failure ICU at Cleveland Medical Center. Your role centers on caring for patients with acute heart failure, many progressing toward heart transplant or LVAD (left ventricular assist device) placement.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to patients in acute heart failure crises
• Monitor and manage patients on advanced cardiac support devices including IMPELLA and IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump)
• Perform hemodynamic assessments using Swan catheterization techniques
• Support patients through transplant candidacy evaluation and pre-operative preparation
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document patient progress and respond to rapid changes in clinical status

What We're Looking For

• RN with demonstrated experience in critical care nursing
• Solid cardiac nursing background and understanding of heart failure pathophysiology
• Competency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring devices (Swan catheter, IMPELLA, IABP)
• Ability to think quickly and adjust care as patient conditions evolve
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
