CVOR Technologist Job in Farmington, CT

UConn John Dempsey Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for its Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 119-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026, offering 4x10-hour day shifts at $2,993 weekly.

Shift Details

• 10-hour day shifts with variable start times at 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 1:00 PM based on operational need
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Holiday time off limited to 1 of 3 major holidays
• Time off requests must be kept to a minimum and approved prior to confirmation

Role Responsibilities

• Scrub and support open heart surgery cases with CVOR expertise
• Assist with a variety of surgical cases including orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery
• Float as needed across assigned units

Requirements

• Associate's Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
• Minimum 2 years of formal in-hospital experience
• Certification from NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Surgical Technologist Certification (Equivalency) required
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
