ICU RN Float Pool Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking an RN for a full-time float pool position working 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). This 94-week assignment begins November 18, 2026, and offers $2,389 weekly pay.

Role Overview

You will float across multiple units including ICU, Emergency Room, Med/Surg, and Med/Surg Telemetry. You must be cross-trained and comfortable adapting to different patient populations and care settings. Your schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotations, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4-week cycle.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association or RQI system)
• NIHSS certification
• Basic Coronary Care certification required within 6 months
• CPI certification required within 90 days
• TNCC and Emergency Nurses Association certification recommended within 2 years

Skills and Competencies

You must demonstrate the ability to provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Computer literacy is required; experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records is preferred.
