Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Expected to work most holidays
• First to float to all areas except NICU
• Schedules made 3-4 weeks in advance; block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• 2-day floor specific orientation
• Travel experience required with 2-5 years of critical care experience
• Experience in Respiratory Therapy Driven Protocols required; facility is strictly protocol driven
• Covers ICU and all other med-surg/telemetry areas in a 267-bed facility
• Common patient diagnoses include COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and CHF
• Common duties include breathing treatments, ABGs, EKGs, NIV, HFNC therapy, IPV, and PEP/PAP therapy
• Ventilators used: Hamilton, G5, C1, MR1, and Galileo
• Telemetry system: GE
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Black
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• State of California requires RRT licensure; CRT will not be accepted
• NPS certification required if working in NICU
