Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Laurium, MI

Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in Laurium, Michigan. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work as a scrub tech in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting surgical teams across multiple case types. Your responsibilities include preparing sterile fields, handling surgical instruments and supplies, and maintaining strict adherence to sterile processing standards and surgical protocols.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4 ten-hour day shifts per week
• Variable start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM, typically 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,215.20
• On-call 1–2 times per week (end of shift to 7:00 AM next day)
• Every 4th weekend on-call (Friday through Sunday until 7:00 AM Monday)
• Holiday call required; no holiday shifts
• 2-hour call-back minimum

Requirements

• Graduate of a certified surgical technologist program
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Current BLS and CST certifications
• 2+ years of surgical technologist experience
• Strong orthopedic and C-section surgical experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile processing and surgical standards
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
