Certified Surgical Technologist in Saginaw, MI

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room at MyMichigan Health - Saginaw. This is a temporary position running for 91 days, starting November 9, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3x12 night shifts
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• $1,529.28 weekly

Your Responsibilities

• Work surgical procedures in the Operating Room, demonstrating knowledge of surgical techniques and problem-solving
• Verify items on physician preference cards and ensure accurate patient billing
• Assemble, inspect, and sterilize all supplies, equipment, and instruments before procedures
• Maintain and monitor the sterile field, recognizing and preventing breaks in technique
• Set up sterile fields with instruments in a timely manner
• Keep accurate counts of medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps per facility policy
• Anticipate surgeon needs throughout procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of CST experience
• Level 2 Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology procedures
• Current BLS (AHA) and NBSTSA certifications
• Skills checklist current within one year for Operating Room
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

You must hold an Allied Health Professional credential as a Certified Surgical Technologist to be considered for this role.
