Respiratory Therapist Job in Twin Falls, ID

St Lukes Magic Valley Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM) with every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care across multiple units including ICU, stepdown, Med-Surg, a small pediatrics unit, and Level III NICU. Patient populations range from neonates to geriatrics. A team lead or charge therapist will always be present on shift—you will never be the only RT in-house. You are positioned as a first-to-float resource and may be assigned to ICU, floors, NICU, and ER as needed.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform ABG draws and analysis
• Administer breathing treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP therapy
• Manage ventilators (Drager, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport, Vapotherm, Philips V60 and V30)
• Assist with bedside bronchoscopy and intubation
• Place laryngeal mask airways (LMA)
• Do not perform EKGs

Scheduling & Environment

Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available. You will attend one department meeting per month. Typical workload is no more than 30 treatments per shift depending on season. Assignments are divided by floor rather than points, which may result in heavier workloads at times. Low census per contract may apply.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• NICU experience mandatory
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and STABLE certifications
• CRT or RRT credential via NBRC
• NRP required only for NICU assignments or if handling babies
• BSN not required

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay: $2,332.80. Charting system is EPIC. Any color scrubs are permitted. You will be an Allied Health Professional on assignment at this 250+ bed medical center.
