OR Nurse Job in Austell, GA

You will work as a registered nurse in the operating room at Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia. This is a day shift position where you'll be part of a collaborative perioperative team delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Position Details:

• Day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, 4 days per week with call responsibilities
• 91-day contract starting April 9, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,864.80

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for surgical patients
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care adapted to population-specific characteristics
• Coordinate safe, quality patient care delivery and maintain thorough documentation
• Function as an active member of the interdisciplinary perioperative team
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews
• Maintain a respectful clinical environment and contribute to performance improvement initiatives
• Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education
• Serve as preceptor and mentor to other nurses and students
• Support evidence-based practice and nursing research initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• Current BLS certification
• Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Less than 1 year experience acceptable with completion of accredited nursing school
• Direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
