About this role
Ogallala Community Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment. You will work a consistent 5x8 day schedule with occasional weekend support for swing bed patients. This 89-week assignment begins October 5, 2026, and offers weekly compensation of $2,671.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating patient functional abilities and limitations to determine intervention needs and establish individualized plans of care with measurable treatment goals
- Implementing individualized treatment plans that consider patients' physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs
- Providing skilled treatment in a safe manner while assessing and modifying the plan of care as indicated
- Documenting treatment techniques, patient progress, and care plans in accordance with professional practice guidelines and regulatory standards
- Communicating evaluation and treatment results to physicians, nurses, patients, family members, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team
- Supervising and delegating appropriately to PTAs, ATCs, therapy technicians, and students
- Participating in departmental and facility process improvement initiatives and attending required department meetings
Required qualifications:
- Graduate degree from an APTA-accredited school of Physical Therapy or equivalent
- Current Physical Therapy license in Nebraska
- BLS certification
- Proficiency with computer software applications used in automated patient care environments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; may be required to lift up to 75 pounds
Preferred qualifications:
- Wound care experience
